A Routeco product story

In addition to courses covering Rockwell Automation systems, Routeco can also offer training on industrial Ethernet in association with Hirschmann, and machine safety with EJA and Pilz

Following the opening of its new £6 million head office and distribution centre, Routeco, the distributor of industrial control products and solutions, has significantly expanded its range of training courses.

Ongoing training of engineers, operators and maintenance staff is essential if investment in new manufacturing systems is to yield its full potential.

Training enables operators to get the best from new plant, and can often reduce the dependence of maintenance departments and outside contractors.

The opening of Routeco's new premises is part of the company's plan to expand its range of products and services, as part of a true 'one stop shop' for all manufacturers' control, automation and information technology requirements.

The dedicated training room in the new building is fully equipped to allow training on PLCs, including the latest systems from Allen-Bradley such as ControlLogix, MicroLogix and industrial communication networks, which allow devices to be connected using DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet and RSView Scada software.

In addition to courses covering Rockwell Automation systems, Routeco can also offer training in association with other leading supplier partners.

These include industrial Ethernet with Hirschmann, and machine safety with EJA and Pilz.

Customers able to plan their training programme in advance can benefit from discounts on the competitive prices of all of these courses.

Discounts are available for any booking made either 31 or 46 days prior to the course start date.

As well as training at its headquarters, Routeco and its partners are also able to offer bespoke courses at other centres around the UK or at customers' own sites by prior arrangement.

The new head office, conveniently located in Milton Keynes, also incorporates a purpose-built customer demonstration area where customers can get hands-on experience with many products from the industries leading manufacturers.

A newly published training schedule lists the full range of training courses planned for the remainder of 2001 and the first quarter of 2002.

This schedule, along with more details on course prices, locations and availability, is available from Routeco on 01908 359209.
