Routeco has acquired Tricon Automation, Rockwell Automation's main distributor within Scotland.

This recent investment by Routeco highlights its strength and commitment to being the pre-eminent industrial automation and control distributor in the UK.

Tricon Automation's integration into the Routeco organisation will be gradual, in order to maintain a smooth transition of working relationships with both suppliers and customers alike.

The company will continue to operate as Tricon Automation for the next few months, with full integration into the Routeco organisation at the beginning of December 2002.

This acquisition brings great opportunities for both Tricon Automation and Routeco.

Their combined strength of experience and knowledge within the industrial automation and control markets, complemented by the extensive product portfolio supported by Rockwell Automation, and many of the world's other leading manufacturers, is sure to bring many benefits to their customers in the region.

Routeco, which has been operating in Scotland from offices in East Kilbride over the past 12 months, has already built a close partnership with many organisations for the supply of franchised product ranges, such as Rittal, Pilz and Weidmuller.

Through the acquisition of Tricon, Routeco will now be able to offer a more complete and comprehensive range of products, including products from Rockwell Automation, and services such as training and asset management, to both their own customers and those of Tricon, creating the ideal single-source solution throughout Scotland.
