Safety and speed control specialist Rowe Hankins Components is returning to Railtex in the UK with a raft of proven products featuring new refinements and enhancements.

Besides being a designer and manufacturer, the company is also the UK distributor for several world-class rail safety system producers such as Eaton Heinemann, LEM and Secheron.

Rowe Hankins Components will be exhibiting jointly with voltage measurement specialist LEM in Hall 1 on stand 737.

Rowe Hankins has ISO 9002 certified design, manufacturing, test and repair facilities.

This has enabled the company to research and develop new solutions to traction safety problems such as the innovative speed probes, pulse generators and roll-back protection systems.

Trials are underway for a new wheel flange lubrication system that will enhance safety and reduce damage to wheel sets and tracks, while also reducing maintenance requirements.

The company is the UK accredited service centre for Secheron on-train monitoring and recording systems.

It is also equipped to undertake mid-life refurbishment of electro mechanical components such as contactors and circuit breakers.

This refurbishment facility includes Eaton Heinemann products and those of other manufacturers.

Field-based commissioning services are another innovation; Rowe Hankins recently commissioned the Shepherds Hill substation as part of the southern zone upgrade in the UK.

Senior technical staff will be on hand throughout the show to demonstrate products and discuss safety and technical issues.
