Poppet valves suit full-flow applications

A Ross Controls product story

Ross Controls has announced the release of its Dale Series LF and LX high-flow poppet valves.

The Series LF and LX two-way valves are inline mounted and available in normally open, normally closed and pressure-controlled configurations.

Available in pipe sizes ranging from 3/8in to 2.5in, the valves have a CV range of 3.6 to 64.7.

The Series LF and LX valves do not restrict airflow at inlet or outlet, so they are suitable for applications where full flow is required.

The valve's dirt-tolerant poppet design and continuous-duty rating ensure long service life in a broad range of applications, such as: pulp and paper, steel mills, pickling, packaging, food and chemical, power generation, industrial mineral, vacuum, leak test (Series LX), thermoforming, transportation, fibreglass, rubber mixing and pressure pilot valves.

The Series LF and LX valves are an alternative to high-maintenance diaphragm valves and ball-actuated valves.

If hammering is an issue in the application, the Series LF and LX valves can eliminate this problem.

The valves have built-in speed control, which allows for fast shifting or controlled shifting in either direction.

The LF and LX valves have a lightweight anodised aluminum alloy construction.

Due to their leak-tight design, the Series LX models are suitable for leak-testing applications.
