The High Performance Plastics Conference will be held in Vienna, Austria, on 5th and 6th April 2005 High performance plastics are replacing traditional materials in hostile environments

They possess characteristics such as exceptional strength, temperature resistance (usually in excess of 160C), chemical resistance and dimensional stability.

The High Performance Plastics Conference aims to bring together experts to discuss the latest developments in materials including properties, processing and applications.

It will provide a useful discussion forum for plastics R and D specialists, designers, engineers, processors, manufacturers and material suppliers.

Papers are now being invited for submission.

Presenting authors are entitled to free registration on both days of the conference including meals, refreshments and a copy of the proceedings.

Topics to be considered include: material selection and performance; processing; cost considerations; and applications and case studies (particularly long-term performance).

Papers may cover the wide spectrum of high performance plastics, including: polyamide, polyarylamide, polybutylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate, polyoxymethylene, polymethylmethacrylate, polyphenylene oxide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyetherimide, polysulfone, polyether sulfone, polyphenylene sulfone, polyether ether ketone, polyphthalamide, polyamide-imide and fluoroplastics.
