Appointments give fillip to conference
business
Polymer research and test centre predicts further growth for conference business this year following new appointments.
Polymer research and test centre Rapra Technology is set for further growth this year according to projections from the company Richard Walton, Rapra Marketing Services Manager, said that "last year our conference sales nearly doubled, and this year we are preparing for growth of a similar order"

This will free up Sally Humphreys to continue to boost the business.
Her background is as a trained scientist and editor of plastics based publications.
Walton said this "has given us a real edge in creating the best kind of conference programmes for the plastics and rubber sectors, making sure that the topics broaden and deepen the technical agenda while also matching topical issues with the very best speakers and materials".
Humphreys said that Rapra Conferences were successful "because people in the industry realise that these events are the best and most effective way to get your skills and know-how up to speed".
"Subject for subject, they also offer the most concentrated form of networking available".
"None of our speakers are paying to present their ideas or products".

Rapra's conference programme is available up until the end of June 2006 with the rest of the year due to be finalised in the next two months.
