A seminar on "Managing REACH from monomers to finished products" will be held on 21st June 2007 at Rapra Technology, Shawbury, Shrewsbury, Shropshire UK.

The Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) legislation comes into force on 1st June 2007.

Heralded as the most significant piece of chemical legislation ever to hit supply chains it will impact on producers, importers, formulators, distributors and users of chemicals, as well as those producing and/or importing articles, ie products.

Despite widespread attention from media, trade and professional associations, companies are still concerned about the practical strategies they must adopt to ensure compliance, with many having little idea how to integrate these into their working practices.

Rapra Technology has addressed the REACH challenge before, with a seminar late last year and a conference in the spring of this year.

Now a follow up event is scheduled for 1st June 2007 when Steffen Erler, Technical Manager of REACHReady, an enterprise created to help companies with REACH, will present a one-day seminar offering practical guidance to companies faced with implementing new procedures to comply with REACH.

The seminar will provide practical examples and exercises relevant to those using plastics or rubber materials in their manufacturing processes or products with the objective of enabling participants to develop a "REACH and beyond" business strategy.
