Composite fastener manufacturer Rotaloc (Europe) has developed a novel fastener for high-density self-skinning composite mouldings for the automotive industry.

Composite fastener manufacturer Rotaloc (Europe) has completed a development project involving the design of a new fastener for high-density self-skinning composite mouldings for the automotive industry Not only do the fasteners sit flush with no distortion of the surrounding material, but they can also stand up to high torque loads, far in excess of the materials that they are enclosed in

Additionally, the fasteners are installed during the moulding and not as an additional post-production process.

This increases production efficiency as well as contributing to a superior overall product.
