Alarm system specialist RTK Instruments reckons it has solved many of the traditional problems of providing alarm indication in hazardous areas The LN1000 is a novel product providing visual and audible indication of alarm status for personnel within all hazardous areas

The unit is fully ATEX certified by Baseefa for use in Zones 0, 1 and 2 Ex II 1G, EEx ia IIC T4 standard.

The lightweight stainless steel construction gives a compact and simple to install modular unit.

This gives great benefits where space and payload are critical factors, especially offshore.

There is no longer any need to install expensive and cumbersome flameproof or purged cabinets or lengthy runs of armoured cable.

A total of up to 32 alarm channels can be driven from a single IS interface.

Each two way alarm card is programmable for different alarm sequences and different functionality.

In alarm annunciation applications, it is often essential to know which alarm occurred first in a particular group.

To this end, three different first-up sequences and seven different first-up groups are available, all user programmable.

All configuration and maintenance can be carried out from the front of the unit by simply removing the IP65-sealed facia and withdrawing the cards.

Inspection and maintenance can be undertaken live without any danger to personnel or plant.

The LN1000 is compatible with RTK Instruments' range of intrinsically safe audible and visual alarms and interface equipment.

If required, RTK Instruments can specify, design, manufacture and commission a complete alarm system for the client's exact application and industry requirements.
