RTP offers MPFP colour masterbatches

A RTP Company product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 2, 2009

RTP has introduced a line of melt-processable fluoropolymer (MPFP) colour masterbatches for the wire and cable industry.

These masterbatches are suitable for colouring complex MPFP resins used as plenum space jacketing materials.

Available in 10 common wire and cable industry colour-coding formulations matched to Munsell and RAL standards, RTP's MPFP colour masterbatches are available in fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin systems, and are expandable to include other MPFP resins as needed.

Standard colours, using RoHS-compliant pigments, are available worldwide.

RTP's MPFP colour masterbatches make colour-coding wire and cable jacketing materials easy for processors to use, with 3 per cent let-down ratios and excellent dispersion.

They maintain the inherent flame retardancy and low smoke emissions that allow fluoropolymers to be used as a jacketing material for plenum spaces.

Additionally, custom colour matches and engineered compounds using MPFP resins are available.
