Leica uses RTP compound for microscope housings

A RTP Company product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 31, 2009

Leica Microscopes' engineers have purchased an antistatic compound from the RTP Company to improve housings for its line of optical microscopes.

Engineers at Leica were searching for a material able to meet their protective antistatic and mechanical requirements while being fully colourable and capable of passing UV-stability testing for colourfastness.

They selected RTP's precoloured and UV-stabilised Permastat 2500 Series permanently antistatic PC/ABS-alloy compound for their microscope housings.
