Custom moulded rubber parts use low-cost
tooling
Rubber Industries offers both production and prototype quantities of high-quality custom moulded rubber parts using the same low cost tooling.
Rubber Industries offers both production and prototype quantities of high-quality custom moulded rubber parts using the same low cost tooling By using latest 27t Maplan Lab injection moulding presses, Rubber Industries provides customers with low cost tooling yet provides prototype to production quantities at lower part prices compared to standard transfer or compression moulding methods

Prototype service produces rubber parts fast
Once the appropriate material is selected and formulated, Rubber Industries will build a single-cavity mould and produce 12 sample parts in just 10 working days.
Rubber Industries has designed processes for these small tonnage presses that are ideal for small to medium size parts, which are price sensitive, affected by time-to-market, candidates for near-future modification or elimination, and have special mechanical requirements.
Using 10.5 by 12in platens, the Rubber Industries systems have a 100cm3 shot capacity and are very flexible in handling small to larger quantities, unlike larger tonnage presses dedicated to long runs requiring larger and more costly moulds.
An additional benefit is that Rubber Industries can engineer the tooling and material used for prototyping similar to what is used in final production, minimising final part variations.
The reason is that injection moulding prototype tooling can be produced using the same process as production tooling.
Standard or special elastomer formulations are available for these part projects.
Rubber Industries has both the latest technical expertise and elastomeric chemistry to develop the correct elastomer formulation.
The company will analyse material needs and recommend a standard formula, or with its in-house lab and mixing capabilities, develop a specific custom-formulated material that is compatible with performance, colour and cost objectives.
In addition, Rubber Industries has complete capabilities for large volume production of custom moulded rubber parts using injection, transfer and compression moulding processes.
Complete in-house cryogenic deflashing capabilities combined with special packaging and assembly capabilities make Rubber Industries a full service rubber moulding source.
