Rubber Industries is offering a new free CD providing polymer and rubber selection guidelines to assist in the part design process A must reference for every designer of rubber parts, the CD contains a brief description of the most popular base polymers along with durometer range, useful temperature range, useful properties, typical applications and cost

Applications not intended for a particular polymer are also called out in the selection chart of the CD.

Designers can focus on a specific performance characteristic using this CD selector.

Hardness, fluid resistance, temperature resistance, abrasion resistance, shrinkage, elongation, modulus and cost are areas the designer can zero-in on to make a design choice.

For fluid applications, the CD contains a chart listing Rubber Industries' compounds recommended for different characteristics and performance criteria.
