Ruland Manufacturing offers bellows couplings that combine stainless steel bellows with aluminium hubs to increase accuracy in motion control applications.

Ruland Manufacturing is offering bellows couplings that combine stainless steel bellows with aluminium hubs to increase accuracy in motion control applications The properties of stainless steel bellows make them suitable for transmitting torque with a high level of torsional stiffness

The thin walls of the bellows allow easy coupling to flex, yet remain rigid under torsional loads.

Parallel misalignment, angular misalignment and axial motion are accommodated by bellows.

The combination of aluminium hubs with the bellows results in a lightweight, low inertia coupling.

Since the couplings have no moving parts, zero backlash and a maintenance free life are more likely.

The balanced design reduces vibration in high speed applications.

Applications include encoders and servomotors, where the torque capabilities as well as the accuracy of these couplings are required.

The couplings are available from stock with six outside diameters from 15 to 50mm in set screw and Nomar clamp styles.

Bore sizes range from 3 to 25mm.

Stainless steel hubs, keyways and other custom features are available.
