Yamada air-operated double-diaphragm pumps, supplied by Platon in the UK, are designed for hot, corrosive or abrasive liquids - the hardest of industrial pumping applications.

The latest addition to the range is a 40mm (1.5in) sized PVDF bodied pump.

This new pump, with wetted parts completely manufactured from Kynar PVDF (as supplied by the Pennwalt) is resistant to the most corrosive acids and caustic liquids, such as plating liquors, CIP and other chemicals, inks and paints, brine and sea water.

The pump can be used at up to 120C, and is available with ATEX approval.

Yamada AOD pumps are designed to give extremely low fluid flow pulsation, with a smooth change-over between the two pumping cavities.

A low pressure air supply is used to power the two pumping diaphragms, and typical diaphragm lifetime is around 40 million cycles.

Yamada Kynar pumps are available in sizes from 0.25in up to 2in, covering all flow ranges up to 550 litres/min.

Other Yamada AOD pumps are available with body materials including aluminium, cast iron, 316 stainless steel, polypropylene, PVC and PTFE.
