The Sensit Trident submersible level/depth transmitter is designed for water industry use, to measure water levels in boreholes, reservoirs or for groundwater level monitoring.

The Sensit Trident submersible level/depth transmitter from Roxspur Measurement and Control is designed for water industry use, to measure water levels in boreholes, reservoirs or for groundwater level monitoring.

Based on the well-proven Sensit ceramic strain gauge technology, which offers a high natural output and superb chemical/corrosion resistance, the Trident transmitter uses a TIG welded body construction, 25mm diameter, in 316L or duplex stainless steel.

The polyurethane sheathed cable, incorporating a strain relief wire and air vent tube, is field proven for long term submerged applications, sealed into the sensor body with a polyurethane moulding.

This seal is equivalent to IP68 at 10bar.

All materials have WRc and Environment Agency (EA) approvals for use in reservoirs and potable water, and the Sensit Trident transmitter is listed as approved for most water authority level measurement applications.

The Trident is available scaled to customer requirements, over the range of 1 to 500m WG (water gauge) pressure, and factory fitted with the required length of moulded cable.

The unit is also available calibrated in units of bar or pounds per square inch, working with two-wire 4-20mA signals or four-wire connections providing a voltage signal.

The output stability and reliability are excellent, with maximum drift of 0.1% of span over 12 months: the water level output is automatically temperature compensated in the sensor over the range 0 to 60C, reducing the temperature effect on measurement accuracy to less than 0.015% per degree.

Other measurement error factors such as nonlinearity, hysteresis and repeatability combined amount to less than 0.25% of span (optional 0.1%) All units have full lightning protection built in, for use in out door locations: for possible hazardous area use units are available with ATEX intrinsically safe approval.
