The range of Combi hinges available from Rencol include both plastic and metal varieties for use with proprietary aluminium profile systems commonly used for machine building, guarding systems, framework assemblies, workbenches and many general engineering projects.

Stainless-steel hinges in the range are also particularly suited for products designed for food, pharmaceutical and other hygiene critical industries.

The Combi plastic hinges include a detachable variation that allows doors or covers to be lifted off for easy removal.

This 'split hinge' design also enables the use of asymmetrical hinges with different wing sizes on a single hinge, ideal where two different size profile sections need to be connected.

Hinges offer a full 220-degree opening and are available to suit profile dimensions of 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 60mm.

Any combination of these seven sizes can be achieved in both left hand and right hand hinge variations.

Nondetachable hinges, which do not allow liftoff, are also available in the same range and combinations of wing sizes.

Plastic Combi hinges can also be supplied with moulded locating pins to fit the longitudinal mounting slots of profile systems.

These facilitate easier assembly and increase load bearing by helping to prevent unwanted hinge deflection or rotation.

The locating pins correspond to mounting slot widths of 6, 8 or 10mm, as appropriate to different sized profile sections.

Plastic hinges are manufactured from glass-fibre-reinforced nylon and fitted with a stainless-steel centre pin.

The standard colour is black, but other colours could be provided if required.

Other special purpose plastic hinges available include a 20mm version, together with both light and heavy-duty hinges including single hole mounting options.

As well as stainless-steel nondetachable hinges, other metal variations include adjustable hinges with elongated holes, a positioning hinge set to 85 and 175-degree openings, together with black powder-coated die-cast hinges with 270-degree opening.
