The new SH5V axial piston pump from Samhydraulik offers load sensing, continuous power and pressure cut-off functions in one, easy-to-install unit.

The space-saving integrated design benefits both OEM and end-users by reducing installation time and the amount of fittings and pipe work required for integration into mobile or industrial hydraulic systems.

The piston pump design is well established in the hydraulic market, offering a high power to weight ratio and the capability of dealing with high speeds and pressure.

Samhydraulik have moved the functionality of the general design forward by integrating three control valves within a single manifold on the new SH5V.

Each separate control function can be activated or de-activated individually, giving the user maximum flexibility from one unit.

The base unit comprises the SHV5 pump, a continuous power module, a load sensing valve and pressure cut off valve.

As an option the pump can be fitted with a proportional control valve.

This has its own pressure cut-off function.

Constant Power Operation: The constant power function senses the operating pressure and controls the pump flow so that the maximum power capability of the prime mover is not exceeded.

This allows a smaller drive motor to be used where maximum flow and maximum pressure are not required simultaneously.

Energy saving: The load sensing function of the SH5V ensures that the pump always provides only the amount of flow needed by the load.

The pump operating pressure adjusts to the actual load pressure, plus a pressure differential required for the control action, resulting in substantial energy saving in systems with variable loads.

Complementing the energy saving function is the SHV5's patented swash plate assembly.

This minimises pressure-draining leaks and ensures high volumetric efficiency.

Optional Proportional Control: Using an alternative control module, the SH5V also offers proportional hydraulic control with a pressure cut-off facility.

Proportional hydraulic control allows a step-less adjustment of the pump displacement proportionally to the pilot pressure applied to the control, giving a smooth response to manual and automatic adjustments.

Operation up to 320 Bar: The SH5V is available in 32 cm3/rev and 50 cm3/rev displacement versions, both of which operate at up to 320 bar.

The larger unit produces up to 300Nm peak torque and 253Nm continuously.

Typical applications for these units include earth moving machines and construction machinery, agricultural and forestry machines, marine and offshore equipment.
