Lithium primary cell gives a 12%
capacity boost
Saft's new LS 33600C primary lithium cell has a nominal capacity of 18.5Ah, 12 per cent higher than Saft's existing high-capacity D-size lithium cell.
Saft's new LS 33600C primary lithium cell has a nominal capacity of 18.5Ah, 12 per cent higher than Saft's existing high-capacity D-size lithium cell Its high 3.6V nominal voltage and standard D-size cylindrical format makes it a particularly versatile power source for small electronic products such as measurement devices, tracking and navigation equipment as well as utility meters
The bobbin construction of the LS lithium-thionyl chloride cells gives very high capacity, and low self-discharge - less than 1 per cent after one year of storage at 20°C.
LS cells have a very long life during storage and in low- and medium-power applications.
The LS 33600C cell is optimized for load profiles with a small (10-100microamp) quiescent drain and pulses of 10-130mA, typical of many metering and instrumentation devices, where a single cell would provide sufficient capacity for a lifetime of around a decade.
Saft's LS range also includes cells in standard ½ AA, AA, and C sizes.
All can operate in extreme temperatures from -60°C to +75°C, and all are built from stainless steel containers, hermetically sealed and with a built-in safety vent.
They are designated non-restricted for transportation, and have Underwriters Laboratories (UL) recognition. Request a free brochure from Saft Rechargeable Battery Systems ...
