Ni-MH cells ideally suited for cordless
powertools
Saft has extended its Super High Power 'VH' series of rechargeable NiMH cylindrical cells with the addition of the new VH Cs HP designed for fast charge and high discharge rates
Saft has extended its Super High Power 'VH' series of rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) cylindrical cells with the addition of the new VH Cs HP designed for applications requiring fast charge and high (up to 40A continuous) discharge rates The new cells, which Saft believes offer superior performance compared with any equivalent sized Ni-MH cells currently available on the market, are ideally suited for cordless power tools, home appliances, radio control models and personal electric vehicles

The VH Cs HP combines super high capacity, quick and fast charge capability, high mid-discharge voltage, good storage ability and a prolonged service life.
It features a foam positive electrode, a Nickel metal-hydride negative electrode and an alkaline electrolyte.
The nominal voltage of the VH Cs HP is 1.2V and its typical capacity at C/5 is 2820 mAh.
It can provide a continuous peak current of 40A at +20C as well as pulse currents up to 100A.
A standard charge for the VH Cs HP is 300 mA for 16 hours, but it will also quick charge in three to five hours at 1000 to 650 mA, and can be fast charged in one to two hours at 3000 to 1500 mA.
The VH Cs HP is available as individual cells or can be supplied in a range of standard or custom designed battery packs, complete with electronic monitoring systems.
Saft's VH range of Ni-MH cells also includes AAA and AA sizes.
