High-energy rechargeable batteries cycle well
Saft has extended its VH "super high energy" series with two new nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) cylindrical cells - the D-size VH D 9500 and the F-size VH F 1500.
The VH F cell combines super high capacity and quick and fast charge capability with an extended cycle life and improved storage ability.
It features a foam positive electrode, a nickel metal-hydride negative electrode and an alkaline electrolyte.
The nominal voltage of the VH F is 1.2V and its typical capacity at C/5 is 13500mAh.
It can provide a continuous peak current of 40A at +20C as well as pulse currents up to 100A.
A standard charge for the VH F is 1350mA for 15h, but it will also quick charge in 5-6h at 3000-2500mA, and can be fast charged in 3-4h at 5000-4000mA.
The VH F is available as an individual cell or can be supplied in a range of standard or custom designed battery packs, complete with electronic monitoring systems.
Saft's VH range of Ni-MH cells also includes AAA, AA, Cs and D HP sizes. Request a free brochure from Saft Rechargeable Battery Systems ...
