The main content is on CD but an eight page printed summary gives an overview of battery features and applications.
The handbook provides technical and commercial data together with guidance on environment and recycling issues.
It also contains information on the Saft worldwide organisation including local sales, support and manufacturing operations.
The CD handbook consists of six main chapters.
Among these are a battery selection guide and a technical support section.
Users can cross reference batteries with applications such as communications including mobile phones, transport vehicles, electronic products security devices, power tools, audio/video, home appliances and hobby products.
They can specify performance and lifecycle criteria and search for the right battery for their application.
Or they can find technical guidance and data sheets which can be printed direct from the CD.
In addition there is information on the design and content of batteries as well as guidance on usage and disposal.
