The IS Pac isolator system has been approved by Det Norske Veritas for installation on ships and offshore platforms.

R Stahl Schaltgerate's IS Pac isolator system has been approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) for installation on ships and offshore platforms.

Approved to the DNV standard, the isolating repeaters, switching repeaters and the pac-Carrier system can be used in plant on tankers, drilling rigs and many other types of watercraft.

The certification was achieved because IS Pac equipment is designed for reliable, safe operation in rough conditions.

The robust construction of the IS Pac range can withstand shock and vibration making it suitable for use on the high seas.

The IS Pac isolator solution is develop for international, multiple industry use.

The same parts can be used on an oil field in Texas as an LNG tanker in the Pacific.

The isolators can be easily specified, sourced and installed.

The intrinsic safety of the a field circuit is guaranteed by the fact that the isolators installed between a field device (sensor or valve actuator) and the control equipment (input or output of a PLC, a process control system etc).

Stahl's other system, the IS 1 remote I/O system was approved by DNV over a year ago.

International shipbuilders can now access the complete portfolio of products and services from R Stahl for process automation.

A new sister company R Stahl HMI Systems (formerly SAE Stahl) provides industrial computers and HMI systems for use in Ex environments, including LNG installations.
