To achieve maximum reliability, the Relio R4000 supports Windows XP Embedded (XPe) and Linux operating systems running from CompactFlash.

Sealevel Systems has released the Relio R4000 rackmount computer designed for use in space-critical environments.

Available with up to a 1.4GHz Intel Pentium M processor, the R4000 offers high performance and I/O expansion in a 1.75in high chassis.

"Sealevel Relio industrial computers are popular due to their extensive I/O expansion capabilities", according to Marc Foster, Director of Sales at Sealevel Systems.

"The new R4000 now offers that expansion capability in a compact 1U rackmount enclosure, suitable for virtually any environment".

Expansion locations on the front and rear of the R4000 allow interface to a wide variety of real world devices and sensors using Sealevel I/O OEM modules.

System designers can choose from a variety of I/O configurations, including serial, optically isolated inputs, Reed and Form C relay outputs, TTL interface compatible with industry standard solid-state relay racks, A/D and D/A.

Designers can choose from several processor options including 500MHz AMD Geode LX800, 1.0GHz ULV Intel Celeron M, or 1.4GHz Intel Pentium M models.

Each system is packed with standard features including dual 10/100BaseT Ethernet, two high-speed USB 2.0 ports, four serial ports, keyboard and mouse ports and analogue video.

Fanless operation is possible to 50C and application programs can execute from CompactFlash for high reliability with no moving parts.

To achieve maximum reliability, the Relio R4000 supports Windows XP Embedded (XPe) and Linux operating systems running from CompactFlash.

Sealevel support engineers can assist with migrating applications to the XPe platform.

Optional high-temperature hard drives are available for applications requiring disk storage.
