Super-strength claim for adhesive tape
Scapa is challenging anyone who has failed to find an adhesive tape strong enough to meet the most demanding binding applications to sample super-strength Scapa 3190.
Scapa is challenging anyone who has failed to find an adhesive tape strong enough to meet the most demanding binding applications to sample super-strength Scapa 3190.
Whatever the situation - sealing, fixing, securing, bundling or palletising large, bulky or multiple items for packaging, storage and transportation - the company claims Scapa 3190 offers an extremely sure solution.
A polyethylene-laminated polyester fabric with a high tack pressure sensitive adhesive and bidirectional breaking strength of up to 400N/cm, Scapa 3190 is unrivalled in its load bearing ability.
The high performance weave-locked backing ensures the tape cannot be ripped either lengthways or widthways.
It is ideally suited to the most demanding industrial applications where strength is critical.
According to Scapa, relatively narrow widths of 3190 can be used to achieve required performance, cutting costs compared with other products available.
Despite its extreme strength, Scapa 3190 is more conformable and flexible than filament or polypropylene tapes, ensuring easy application even around awkwardly shaped items.
Temperature resistant up to 60C, it is available in a range of colours which could be used for coding or identification purposes.
Comments Andy Spivey, European Business Development Manager of Scapa: "The uses for 3190 are virtually limitless.
Securing coils of electrical cable or steel wire; bundling steel, iron, copper or plastic pipes; palletising bricks, breeze blocks, paving slabs or bags of cement or aggregate, heavy duty sealing of steel containers or drums, are just a few ideas".
Scapa is interested to hear from anyone who has a highly demanding - or just unusual - application where Scapa 3190 could provide a solution.
