Exafit Y944 is a 550-micron hard adhesive tape designed specifically for solid colour printing on filmic and paper substrates.

Flexoprinters looking for premium quality in block print will welcome the launch of Scapa's Exafit Y944, a 550-micron hard adhesive tape designed specifically for solid colour printing on filmic and paper substrates Y944, a double-sided PE foam tape, enhances print quality by compensating for the irregularities between the impression cylinder, the printing plates and the print cylinder or sleeve

It promises high quality print results, even at elevated speeds.

With a speciality rubber adhesive on the cylinder side and a graphic grade cohesive acrylic adhesive on the cliche side, the tape offers a harder solution than Scapa's industry standard Exafit 4355, rendering it suitable for solid block printing and for combination printing on filmic.

Y944 has been engineered to be compatible with soft to medium-soft photopolymer plates and medium diameter cylinders.

Reinforced with a polyester film, the tape has a smooth, siliconised release liner.

The foam is coloured blue for easy identification by the printer.

In common with the entire Exafit range of plate mounting tapes, Y944 is easy to remove in one piece and does not leave any residues.

Downtime between jobs is minimised and production efficiency maintained.

While Scapa's Exaft 4355 is a good choice for printers keen to stock just one single tape, Exafit Y944 promises superior results on specialist block printing jobs where high quality is demanded.
