With no fewer than 16 standard models, the latest range of sheet-steel desks from Sarel, a brand of Schneider Electric, makes it easy to find exactly the right desk for virtually any application The versatility of the Sarel desk range is further increased by the availability of integral and separate consoles, and by a comprehensive family of accessories, which includes plinths, glazed doors, and chassis for mounting PC monitors

Desks in the range can be supplied in standard versions, which have a generously sized sloping desktop for mounting control devices, and in versions which include a near-vertical console behind the desktop.

Models with consoles are particularly useful where instruments are to be fitted and must be readily visible.

Standard desks without consoles are available in widths from 600mm to 1200mm, and are offered with welded or removable rear panels.

Models with consoles are available in widths up to 1600mm, and have hinged rear doors, as well as a desk section which extends forward of the enclosure base, ensuring maximum user convenience.

All types, except those with welded rear panels, are fitted with adjustment rails and brackets to simplify the mounting of internal components.

To provide maximum versatility, Sarel also supplies separate console sections for use with all standard non-console desks which have removable rear panels.

The console sections are available in widths of 400mm and 600mm, and can be fitted to the desks either singly or in combination to provide a precise match with the user's requirements.

All desks in the range have been designed to allow easy access to internally mounted components, and to the wiring associated with devices mounted on the surfaces of the desk.

Front doors, which open a full 120 , are easily reversible, and the desk lids, which have an opening angle of 75deg, are fitted with pneumatic stays.

As standard, the desks are fitted with 5mm double bar locks, but other inserts and barrels are available as accessories.
