Extensive ranges of high quality cable glands and rigid PVC cable ducting are now available from Sarel, a brand of Schneider Electric.

The cable glands are offered in economical standard versions, and in types specially designed for hazardous area applications, while the ducting features a perforated base which makes installation speedy and straightforward.

Sarel cable glands are manufactured from Polyamide 6.6 reinforced with fibreglass, making them virtually impervious to chemical attack, and highly resistant to the effects of heat and fire.

Standard glands are grey in colour, and are offered in ten sizes with threads from PG7 to PG29.

They are supplied complete with sealing rings, lock nuts and gaskets.

Correctly installed, they have an IP66 environmental protection rating.

For use in hazardous area applications, Sarel offers special nylon cable glands which have an EEx e II certification.

These are available in nine sizes with ISO threads from 12 to 63mm, and feature anti-jump threads for ease of installation.

Sarel cable glands for hazardous areas provide environmental protection ratings up to IP66, and are suitable for use over the temperature range -20 C to +110 C.

Cable ducting from Sarel has slotted sides with snap-off tongues between slots, making it ideal for use in control panels and similar applications where cables enter and exit the trunking at numerous points.

The snap-on lid is retained firmly in place after fitting, ensuring maximum protection for the enclosed wiring.

Sarel cable ducting is RAL7030 grey in colour, and is available in a wide range of sizes from 25mm x 25mm to 125mm x 75mm.

All sizes are supplied in convenient two metre lengths, complete with lid.

Lids are also available separately for replacement purposes, and Sarel offers a wide range of fixing and mounting accessories to facilitate the installation of the ducting within control enclosures.
