Quick release coupling fits in awkward spaces

Space is always at a premium on injection or blow moulding machines.

The need to maximise throughput, reduce demoulding times and provide ready access to the moulds themselves frequently results in hydraulic circuits and cooling water connections being located in awkward and restricted access positions.

The latest coupling from Staubli, the CBI 06, is designed for just such awkward applications.

The design does not require hand access to connect or disconnect, so connectors can be located closer together or even on a remote plate.

Connection is fully automatic - just push to connect - bringing greater flexibility to the applications that are suitable for this connector, especially 'blind' or connections in a recessed location.

The nonspill, flat faced design of the CBI 06 ensures perfect sealing during connection and disconnection, no air is introduced into the circuits and any pollution to the environment through leakage is eliminated.

Flow rates are maximised due to the direct turbulence-free flow of the fluid and seals are available to accommodate synthetic and mineral oils and well as water, glycol and steam.

The CBI is also fully compatible with the previous Staubli connector for these types of applications, the SPI - complete interchangeability is provided - SPI plugs fit CBI sockets and SPI sockets fit CBI plugs.
