Rollertooline has been designed to be manufactured in 6m sections that can be readily joined together into the configuration required for any production line or workshop infrastructure.

Staubli's new Rollertooline compressed air and electrical combined rail system provides all workstation power supplies and the suspension, free movement and guidance of roller cabinets all from one single supporting structure.

Rollertooline has been designed to be manufactured in 6m sections that can be readily joined together into the configuration required for any production line or workshop infrastructure.

It is suitable for assembly lines running up to several hundred metres or just a single rework station.

Typical applications are in the engineering and process industries as well as the automotive sector for assembly lines.

The rail and associated fittings are lightweight and maintenance free, being made from aluminium; workstation positioning can be optimised and changes or additions to the line can be quickly made in response to future requirements.

The installation of one rail provides all the power supplies required at the workstation as well as the suspension and easy movement of roller cabinets.

The roller cabinets can be equipped with a wide range of fittings to ensure the system is tailored to the specific needs of each application.

These include electrical power supplies, data connections, tool holders, tray storage boxes, magnetic panels and any other equipment required.

Every 2m the rail is provided with a tapping point for compressed air.

A cable carriage runs along the line carrying the cables and hoses supplying compressed air, electricity and any other power required.

Hoses connect directly to the quick release coupling on the line eliminating hoses on the floor, a major addition to safety and reducing hose length while still maintaining the flexibility to cover a wide work area.

Shorter hoses also give the added benefit of a reduced pressure drop on the line.

The rail supports a load of 150kg per linear metre.

The normal maximum roller cabinet load is 50kg; this can be increased to 125kg if required by using additional bearings.

In all configurations the cabinets remains very easy to move.

The rail can be adapted to support higher loads if required.

The roller cabinets follow the operator through all movements, requiring the minimum pulling force and giving permanent access to a power supply.

Staubli Engineers are experienced in the engineering and process sectors and can assist in establishing customers' power line and tool requirements and then drawing up the complete Rollertooline specification that exactly meets requirements.

Staubli Rollertoolline systems are currently in use with many of the major automotive OEMs.
