New-generation 360-degree swivel socket offers a greatly increased work envelope for any connected tool, readily achievable with the minimum of effort.
Staubli reckons its new-generation 360-degree swivel socket makes compressed air tools even easier to handle, reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI) and "white knuckle" as well as minimising the chance of damaging the workpiece.
The new 360-degree swivel fitting incorporates a revolutionary double-action mechanism.
This mechanism allows full 360-degree rotation around the centreline, combined with 90-degree flexibility in the horizontal/vertical plane.
The result is a greatly increased work envelope for the connected tool, readily achievable with the minimum of effort.
This new generation of swivel is a significant help in reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury to the operator and also preventing damage to the work piece through any use of excessive force.
It has been designed ergonomically to maximise operator efficiency; the swivel has been incorporated directly in the socket.
This results in excellent air flow, perfect leak tightness and a very compact assembly.
The design eliminates completely any risk of fold, break or rolling of the hose.
It is lightweight and very flexible being manufactured from aluminium and uses air-tight ball bearings.
The swivel comes equipped with Staubli's ultrasafe RCS connector or the non scratch equivalent, ERS socket; both incorporate the unique anti hose whip safety feature preventing any whiplash on disconnection.
Two socket diameters are available: 6 and 8mm.
Like all Staubli couplings the new generation 360-degree swivel is available on rapid ex-stock delivery to all parts of the UK.
