PAT software range streamlined to help those involved in portable appliance testing improve productivity and profitability.

Seaward Electronic has streamlined its Patguard software range as part of its Patsolutions concept that helps those involved in portable appliance testing (PAT) improve their productivity and profitability.

Patsolutions is designed to ensure that PAT testing of all electrical and electronic items can be undertaken as cost-effectively as possible as part of a fast and efficient test service.

In keeping with the approach that provides different combinations of PAT equipment for different user groups, Patguard test and data management programs are available in three versions.

At the top of the range is the Patguard Elite program for companies that do PAT regularly.

The software accommodates everything from downloading test results for full test records, report and certificate printing, email alerts and planning retests, to uploading test criteria into PAT testers.

The intermediate level Patguard Pro is for those requiring detailed asset management information, allowing fast download of test results and immediate access to test records and other equipment information.

Patguard Lite is entry-level software that allows the fast and effective downloading of test data and certificate printing with the minimum of fuss.

Patguard software uses Windows-based systems for ease of use and includes a set-up wizard that guides operators through the program.

Patguard Time Manager can be used independently of the main programs to provide a clear picture of tester use and the performance of engineers in the field.

The programs are also compatible with the Patguard Work About PDA-based software that allows the mobile capture of test records for subsequent transfer to central database records by email and mobile phone.
