Seaward's Powertest 1557 is a compact all in one installation tester that enables contractors of all sizes to meet their 16th Edition and Part P electrical testing obligations The lightweight hand held instrument is the smallest in its class and has been designed for maximum portability and ease of use

Special features a new cordless probe technology that not only provide total ease of handling, but also enables probe contacts, instrument and test results display to remain in the operator's line of sight at all times.

Colour coded tests for earth continuity, insulation resistance, loop impedance, line impedance, RCD tests and voltage measurements can be selected easily using a large rotary switch and simple push button control.

Included in the test specifications is a nontrip loop test, automatic RCD testing, 100V, 250V and 500V insulation test outputs and the ability to zero out test lead resistance for very low resistance measurements.

A large analogue and digital display gives a clear reading of test results, allowing the user to make informed decisions about the safety of electrical circuit and compliance with the necessary regulations.

For totally integrated test routines, the new Powertest 1557 can be used in conjunction with the new PowerGuard suite of software that includes both PC and PDA versions.

This enables work schedules, installation test requirements and test details to be transferred between test engineers working in the field and head office locations for more efficient management of test operations. Request a free brochure from Seaward Electronic ...
