An international distribution network and a dedicated USA sales office in Tampa, Florida, support group manufacturing operations.
Cropico has strong product and market synergies with existing Seaward companies and reinforces the group's technical expertise in test and measurement instruments.
Rod Taylor, managing director, says: "Cropico is a very well known brand name in its field and as market leader in its own right will complement our existing businesses very well.
"In particular, the company's export performance has been very strong and this will help to further expand the opportunities for our existing group products in some new market sectors.
"As part of the new arrangements, we will be consolidating our group sales efforts in the USA and sharing product development expertise here in the UK".
Established in 1982, Seaward manufactures a range of test equipment used by electrical contractors, service engineers, quality control and safety managers for the testing of electrical equipment and appliances.
Each Group company is claimed to be a market leader in its own sector.
