PATGuard Lite software has been developed for workplace electrical test records.

Electrical safety testing specialists Seaward Electronic is introducing a new entry-level software package for the recording of electrical portable appliance tests undertaken in the workplace.

The new PATGuard Lite programme is a simple and uncomplicated system for the quick and effective downloading of electrical safety testing results for workplace electrical equipment.

It has been specifically designed for use by SMEs and smaller organisations that carry out basic electrical service testing and maintain their own records but who require only basic test data to be retained.

Once electrical testing of equipment has been carried out, the direct transmission or manual input of results from the PAT tester via the PATGuard Work About programme enables a test record database to be established.

This low cost software uses Windows-based management information systems enabling ease of use with the minimum of training.

For example, the use of special icons for locations and equipment identification, as well as report printing direct from the main display make the program especially easy to use.

As well as enabling accurate records to be maintained easily, PATGuard Lite also provides fast access to supporting documentation.

Test certificates can be printed-off directly or Acrobat reports can be produced for non-programme users.

In addition, the new program is fully compatible with PATGuard Work About software which allows safety testing results recorded in a PDA can be subsequent transferred direct to the PATGuard Lite database.
