Integrated test meets electrical standards
The PowerSolutions package combines electrical testing in the field with a test results recording system and a test certificate production system.
Seaward has developed a new integrated test solution to help contractors meet their 16th Edition and Part P electrical testing obligations.
The combination of the new Powertest 1557 handheld installation tester with the new PowerGuard software provides an all in one PowerSolutions package that links effective electrical testing in the field, with a comprehensive test results recording system and convenient test certificate production system.
Two versions of the integrated test package are available.
The PowerSolutions Pro combination links the Powertest 1557 with the PowerGuard Pro software and PowerSolutions Mobile, which uses the new tester and the PDA-compatible version of the software.
The lightweight Powertest 1557 is the smallest tester in its class and has been designed for maximum portability and ease of use.
It is also compatible with the proposed new 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Cordless probe technology enables the probe contacts, the instrument and the test results display to remain in the operator's line of sight at all times.
Included in the test specifications is a nontrip loop test, automatic RCD testing, 100, 250 and 500V insulation test outputs and the ability to zero out test lead resistance for very low resistance measurements.
Complementing the new test instrument is the PowerGuard software that includes both PC and PDA versions.
As well as ensuring the accurate recording of all test and inspection records and installation details, the new Windows-based program enables contractors to view and print out a complete range of documentation for all types of commercial and residential electrical installation work.
These include BS7671 16th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and NAPIT certificates as well as standard format NICEIC reports and certificates.
In addition, as well as electrical installation forms, PowerGuard can provide BS5839 fire detection and alarm system certificates.
