Available now from Schaffner EMC Ltd are the company's first high-current IEC inlet filters.

Expanding Schaffner's successful FN9222 family of high-performance IEC inlet modules, the new versions are rated at 16 and 20A, and provide a compact solution for a variety of applications from industrial machinery to vending machines.

The new filters use the high-current IEC320C20 connector and are safety rated for IEC950 applications.

Further international approvals include VDE, UL, CSA and Semko.

Despite their compact outline, the inlets feature high-value suppression components.

The 20A version features dual 0.4mH inductors, with twin Y capacitors on the load side and a single X capacitor on the line side.

The two new versions join the rest of the FN9222 family of standard inlets, available with current ratings from 1 to 15A.

The family also features ultra-low-leakage medical versions and easy-mount snap-in variants.
