EMI filters take to the (DIN) rails
New from Schaffner is the FN 2412 series of DIN-rail mounting EMC filters.
Highly functional and easy to use software delivers significant benefits over traditional systems, with no need to develop complex and time-consuming customised codes.
Available in power levels from 45 to 135kVA, the convenient free-standing power source offers multiple voltage ranges, single- and three-phase modes, high RMS and high peak currents, and allow users to define arbitrary AC waveforms.
Sophisticated pulsewidth modulation (PWM) switching techniques are employed by the multi-use multi-function system, which caters for the most demanding product evaluation and test needs over a wide range of input-line conditions.

Source puts high-power equipment to the test
The NSG1007-45 is a programmable power source for testing and evaluating high power equipment and appliances.
Accessories aid electrostatic discharge testing
Schaffner has developed a number of new accessories for the NSG438 to further extend the usefulness of this remarkable ESD tester.
In addition to providing programmable AC, DC or AC/DC power sources, the NSG 1007 incorporates an advanced DSP-based data acquisition system for continuous monitoring of all AC source and load parameters.
This is the basis for all measurement and analysis functions.
A menu-driven front panel makes all interfacing fast and trouble free.
IEEE488 and RS232C remote-control interfaces are also available, making ATE system integration easy.
For advanced test applications, the versatile new source also offers time and frequency domain measurements as well as voltage and current waveform capture.
A high crest factor, of up to 3:1, allows AC sources to drive nonlinear loads with ease.
To meet the demands of modern switching power supply units, the source can deliver up to 300A of repetitive peak current, (150V AC range), per phase for three-phase loads, with 900A available in single-phase mode.
A powerful AC and DC transient generation system allows complex sequences of voltage, frequency and waveform shapes to be generated.
Combined with its multi-phase arbitrary waveform capability, the AD/DC output possibilities are exceptionally varied.
Transient generation is controlled independently and time synchronised on all three phases.
Furthermore, accurate phase-angle control and synchronised transient list execution provide unparalleled accuracy in positioning AC output events.
In AC mode, the system delivers up to 45kVA of single- or three-phase output.
In DC mode, 65% of the AC power is available.
On models with the programmable controller, AC and DC modes are also supported.
Higher power requirements can also be catered for.
The compact units measure just 1270 x 731 x 878mm. Request a free brochure from Schaffner ...
