Schaffner has named XP as its distributor of the year for 2002.

Schaffner has named XP as its distributor of the year for 2002.

The award recognises both XP's overall sales of Schaffner products and also the original design-in work carried out with close co-operation between the two companies.

Presenting the award, Michael Lowe, Managing Director of Schaffner commented: "We have had another excellent year of sales by all of our distributors which has made this a tough decision to make.

The close working relationship we have established at all levels with XP has been a key factor in making this award.

They have proved themselves to be a key supplier of our products into the UK market and achieved excellent sales growth".

Schaffner's Distribution Manager Daniel Walker added: "As ever, we have based the award on a number of criteria ranging from overall sales and year-on-year growth to design-in work, training and marketing initiatives.

And XP has been proactive in all these areas.

We recognise in particular the company's pro-active design work using their own in-house EMC facilities and packaged solutions supplying end users complete power, thermal and EMC solutions".

Accepting the award, XP joint MD Gary Bocock commented: "I am delighted to accept this award as recognition of the continuing close relationship between XP and Schaffner.

It's very pleasing to know that Schaffner has recognised the added value that our team has brought to its products".
