Schaffner is running series of free workshops on EMC at various locations around the UK, generally hosted by EMC test houses or major OEMs.

The purpose of the workshops is to update designers on the latest revisions, implementation dates and effects of legislation and standards affecting the electronics industry.

Topics covered will include: the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), WEEE, RoHS etc.

Andrew Kotas, Marketing Manager for Schaffner comments: "The effects of changes to existing legislation frequently go by unnoticed".

"We hope that we can help designers to ensure their products continue to comply with any changes or new standards that might affect them".

"Our informal workshops are an enjoyable forum for us to share our knowledge and encourage awareness and debate".

There are currently workshops planned for June and October 2004 and more are being arranged.
