STI's MF Series Microwave Flow Controls feature fast response time, easy adjustment by virtue of an LED bargraph display, and easy installation, strapping to the outside of any non-metal pipe or chute

Scientific Technologies (STI), Automation Sensors Division, introduces MF Series Microwave Flow Controls.

The MF series features fast response time, easy adjustment by virtue of an LED bargraph display, and easy installation (sensor straps to the outside of any non-metal pipe or chute).

The MF Microwave Doppler Flow is designed for flow or plugged detection of solids and powders in a non-metallic pipe, tube or chute.

Typical applications include pneumatic or gravity conveyance of food products, pharmaceuticals, building materials, Styrofoam beads, or sawdust.

The MF series sensor contains the microwave transmitter and receiver.

The microwave signal is transmitted by the converter and reflected by a solid particle.

If the reflector (particle or object) is moving, the Doppler Effect causes a change in the frequency of the return signal.

This change is converted into a relay output by amplifying and processing through the offset and gain adjustment on the converter.

STI has been selected twice by Forbes and three times by Business Week as one of the "world's best small companies".

STI's Automation Products Group serves the factory automation, semiconductor, transportation, oil and gas, consumer and food processing industries with a diversified offering of sensing technologies.

Products include level, flow, pressure sensing, positioning transducers, vehicle separation, profiling and ultrasonic sensors and controls.
