Pentair rationalises Scottish operations

A Schroff UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 6, 2002

Pentair Enclosures Europe is combining its two operations in Scotland.

Pentair Enclosures Europe is combining its two operations in Scotland to offer the customer the benefit of a highly efficient and effective organisation that is clearly focused on its core business objectives in the custom enclosure market place.

This strategic move will see all of the production capacity at the Eraba facility in Livingston being transferred to the Optima factory at Macmerry to form a single custom enclosures operation.

Pentair will be working very closely with all of its employees and customers to ensure that this move is seamless, the supply chain is strengthened and the benefits gained are passed on to the customer.

The move will not see any reduction in Pentair's product or capabilities and they will continue to offer world class products to the global market place.

"This new arrangement ideally positions Pentair to tackle the global custom enclosures market head on", stated Rick Cook, UK Sales Director Pentair Enclosures Europe.

"The strengthened facility will allow us to compete in a constantly evolving electronics market place and will provide clear focus on the individual needs of its customers, the overall aim is to have a synergistic company that is world class in terms of the products and services it takes to market".
