Scientific Technologies introduces the BeamSafe II-EP.
This explosion proof, long-range, single-beam safety control is housed in a rugged cast aluminum enclosure that meets UL886, NEC articles 500, 501 and 502, and CSA.
It is rated for Class I, Group C and D explosive environments - the US standard for atmospheres represented by intermittent or continuous presence of Ethylene, and those represented by Propane.
The BeamSafe II-EP has a 140 foot (42 meter) range, and is ideal for perimeter and access guarding in industries such as chemicals, wastewater, distilled pharmaceuticals, and other hazardous process locations with gaseous environments.
No interconnecting cables or separate control enclosure are required, which speeds long-range installations.
Four separate visible indicators provide instant system status, as well as signal strength.
A built-in lens heater is effective in environments where condensation may form on the lens.
