DST1-XD0808SL-1 safety I/O terminals allow local outputs to be directly controlled by local inputs, giving the user a maximum response time of 18.7ms
Contact strips resist aggressive chemicals
The safety contact is co-extruded as an integral part of the profile, eliminating the need to 'fish' the safety contact into the profile, significantly reduced assembly time.
The MG4600 Series comes with a complete safety light curtain features set, and is designed to meet the stringent safeguarding requirements for automotive applications, including those of Ford and DaimlerChrysler, as well as the Ford EL4 Standard.
The MG4600's rugged housing is ideal for environments that might cause other light curtains to fail.
The MG4600 provides protected heights from 435 to 2086mm and sensing ranges of 7.5 to 20m, depending on system resolution.
Control reliable circuitry eliminates the need for a separate controller, and patented individual beam indicators simplify alignment.
Additional features include field-replaceable safety relays and weld shield, floating blanking to block up to two beams anywhere in the zone, and exact channel select to permanently block selected beams where machine parts will obstruct a portion of the zone.
Options include MPCE monitoring for control reliability, MTS (machine test signal) to verify proper operation of safety outputs, and a DeviceNet interface for communication of non-safety-related data between the MG4600, the main machine controller, and other nodes residing on this fieldbus.
Optional automatic start and start/restart interlock modes allow the MG4600 to be configured for either point-of-operation or perimeter guarding.
