Hinge-operated safety interlock switches are ideally suited for use on smaller guard doors.

Omron Scientific Technologies has introduced two new hinge-operated safety interlock switches ideally suited for use on smaller guard doors The HP2008 Series is a compact 25mm wide by 85.5mm long, whereas the HP2011 Series features a slim 25 x 115.5mm profile

Both are quick and easy to install, and can be mounted on square tubing as small as 1in width.

These switches are available in solid or hollow shaft versions and provide force guided contacts with tamper-resistant operation.

A NEMA 6 enclosure enables them to withstand water washdown cleaning while providing a minimum of four million actuations on small swinging guard doors.

Each features a 360-degree rotating head that rotates in 90-degree increments to give four possible shaft operating positions.

HP2008 and HP2011 hinge-operated safety interlocks conform to European safety standards, carry the CE mark, are UL and C-UL listed, and BG approved.
