The new W9-2 series of Industrial Sensors from Sick is specifically designed to meet the demands of manufacturing industry for a rugged, high performance sensor in a small housing The compact housing makes it possible to use high-performance, dependable sensors that operate reliably even in cramped mounting conditions

Thanks to the completely sealed plastic housing made of chemically resistant ABS, it is suitable for use even under tough industrial conditions and in temperatures ranging from 40C to +60C.

All W9-2 models have a red light transmitter as standard.

The sensor can be aligned quickly and precisely on an object using the visible light spot.

In the models with Teach-In function, the sensor optimises its sensitivity automatically to the given operating conditions at the push of a button.

The range includes versions for all standard sensing principles: Through Beam, Retro-reflective, Diffuse (energetic) and Diffuse (background suppression).

The W9-2 optical system is ideal for jobs at extremely close ranges, and is suitable for use in applications in Storage and Handling Engineering, the Packaging Industry and Electronics Industry.
