The W9-2 range, which already provides a huge range of options, has been extended with the introduction of the KT3, CSM1 and LUT2 sensors.

The KT3 mark sensor is used to detect registration marks on the packaging.
These are often used to indicate to the machine where the packaging needs to be cut and sealed.
The KT3 is fast in operation and quick and easy to set up with 'push to teach' technology.
Sick has also introduced the CSM1 colour sensor, which allows items to be identified, sorted and inspected on the basis of their colour.
This compact unit reliably detects coloured marks and objects at a push of a button, on machines running with high throughput rates.
The LUT2 luminescence sensor, detects fluorescent materials or markings on any type of product.
It has a UV LED light source and a sensing range of 12.5mm, which is also compatible with the sensing ranges of the KT3 and CSM sensors.
Fast in operation and simple to use, the luminescence sensitivity can be easily set using the 'push to teach' technology.
The addition of the KT3, CSM1 and LUT2 sensors to the W9-2 range provides a complete solution to OEMs in the packaging industry.
