The CQ 28 sensor offers users needing reliable and accurate level detection hardware an array of features and benefits that differentiate it from other equipment on the market.

With its design based on customer needs, the CQ 28 sensor from Sick UK will offer users needing reliable and accurate level detection hardware an array of features and benefits that differentiate it from other equipment on the market.

Its diminutive size belies its operating range capability, and its multiple mounting options (front, pipe or plane) make it an extremely flexible device - suitable for a whole host of industrial applications involving tanks, tubes and containers that house liquids, solids or powders.

High EMI immunity and an IP rating of 68 make it especially suitable for harsh environments.

Its enhanced EMI immunity prevents spurious switching caused, for example, by surge voltages resulting from electrostatically charged materials; mobile phones; radio devices or magnetic valves; contacts or frequency inverters.

The capacitive proximity switch can reliably detect liquids and bulk materials through nonmetallic walls.

Its sensitivity is set using simple teach-in procedure via a pushbutton or a remote wire and its two LEDs show the current switching state and the quality of detection.

Users can choose between PNP or NPN switching output options.
