SICK introduces MH15V photoelectric sensors

A SICK (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 8, 2009

SICK UK's MH15V photoelectric sensors for the food industry are protected from the processing environment and wash-down to IP69K (DIN40050).

The sensors have a wide temperature capability and are resistant to standard industrial detergents (certified by Ecolab and Johnsondiversey).

They feature a food-compliant 316L stainless steel housing with FDA-certified plastic watertight plug-cap and cabling.

Corrosion-resistant gold-plated connections provide additional reliability.

The compact MH15V is one of the shortest M18 diameter photoelectric sensors available and is ideal for tight spaces where optical sensing is a problem.

For added application versatility, the MH15 can be used as a proximity switch with a range of 100 or 350mm, as a reflex switch to five metres or as a through-beam with a remote receiver to five metres.
