Force sensor works on six axes

A StrainSense product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 23, 2005

StrainSense has added a six-axis force sensor to its product portfolio.

As part of its continuing growth, StrainSense has added a six-axis force sensor to its product portfolio.

This sensor's optical sensing technology allows high performance-to-cost ratio to be achieved for test, robotics and wind tunnel applications.

The innovative, epoch-making six-axis force sensor uses circuit technology that is structured to incorporate a high-speed arithmetic circuit into the sensor.

The product has interference correction and digital filter with a high-speed digital signal processor built in.

Six-axis force sensors can detect force and couple in the direction of three axes, and are used in various applications where complex loading systems are encountered.

Capacities from 25N/2Nm to 10kN/200Nm can be supplied.
